We had a tough day today resolving a Many-to-Many relation scenario with facts. A general search revealed the following link that discusses about Chasm and Fan traps in OBIEE. I found it pretty excellent.
The moral of the story was Chasm traps are handled automatically by OBIEE and Fan traps are to be handled by intelligent design.
